BeerHockey is a free tool for organizing pickup hockey. Use it for that. Don't abuse it. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we're a small operation — not a billion-dollar company with an SLA.
BeerHockey is a web application for organizing pickup and beer league hockey. It helps organizers manage rosters, track attendance, balance teams, handle spare lists, and communicate with players via email.
The service is currently provided free of charge. Pricing may change in the future — if it does, we'll give you advance notice and existing core features won't be removed without a free alternative.
You need an account to use BeerHockey. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately.
You must provide accurate information when registering. One account per person — don't create accounts for other people without their knowledge.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Use BeerHockey for organizing hockey. That's what it's built for.
Don't use the platform to harass, spam, or abuse other users. Don't attempt to access other users' accounts or data. Don't try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
Organizers are responsible for their group's content and member management. BeerHockey provides the tools — how you run your group is up to you.
You own the data you put into BeerHockey — your profile, your RSVPs, your group settings. We don't claim ownership of any of it.
By using the service, you grant us permission to store and process your data as needed to provide the service. That's it — we won't use your data for anything else.
If you delete your account, we'll anonymize your personal data within 30 days. Attendance and fee records are kept in anonymized form so group statistics stay intact. You can export your data first using the "Export My Data" button in settings.
BeerHockey sends transactional emails: RSVP reminders, spare invites, game day alerts, password resets, and organizer digests. These are not marketing emails — they're part of how the service works.
You can control which emails you receive through your group notification settings. Password reset emails cannot be disabled for security reasons.
We aim to keep BeerHockey available and reliable, but we can't guarantee 100% uptime. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or due to circumstances beyond our control.
We're a small team, not a Fortune 500 company. We don't offer an SLA. If something breaks, we'll fix it as fast as we can.
BeerHockey is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We're not liable for missed games, incorrect team assignments, lost RSVPs, or any other issues arising from use of the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or zero dollars if you're on a free plan.
You can stop using BeerHockey at any time. Email us to delete your account and we'll handle it within 30 days.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service. We'll try to give you a heads-up first, but we reserve the right to act immediately if necessary.
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we'll post a notice on the site. Continued use of BeerHockey after changes means you accept the updated terms.
We won't bury important changes in fine print. If something meaningful changes, we'll be upfront about it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
